Muse and Artist: The Influence of Kadambari Devi on Rabindranath Tagore's Creative Vision
Abstract This study examines the significant influence of Kadambari Devi on Rabindranath Tagore's literary and artistic works, applying the Literary Influence Theory and Simulation Theory from media psychology. The research investigates how Kadambari Devi's life, personality, and relationship with Tagore shaped his writings and creative vision, employing a qualitative approach that analyzes Tagore's works, letters, and biographies, as well as historical accounts of Kadambari Devi's life. The study reveals that Kadambari Devi's presence in Tagore's life inspired a distinct feminine perspective in his works, with themes of love, nature, and spirituality, and her tragic death had a profound impact on Tagore's writing style, leading to a shift towards more melancholic and introspective themes, demonstrating the significant role of Kadambari Devi in shaping Tagore's literary legacy and highlighting the importance of personal relationships in artistic creation.
