THE IMPACT OF THE RTBF ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM
A key idea in privacy legislation is the right to be forgotten (RTBF), which gives people the ability to ask for specific personal data to be deleted from internet directories and search engines. In response to rising concerns over the long-term availability of personal data in the digital era, this right has its roots in the larger context of data protection and privacy. It gives people some control over their digital identities by enabling them to have excessive, irrelevant, or out-of-date personal information eliminated from internet search results.
