DERMATOGLYPHIC ANALYSIS FOR THE EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF TYPE 1 DIABETES IN CHILDREN

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) is an autoimmune disease that affects children by causing the destruction of insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. Early diagnosis is crucial for preventing complications and ensuring effective management. Dermatoglyphics, the study of skin ridge patterns such as fingerprints, has gained attention as a non-invasive diagnostic tool in several medical conditions. This study aims to explore the relationship between dermatoglyphic patterns and Type 1 diabetes in children. By comparing the dermatoglyphic features of children diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes to healthy controls, this research seeks to identify distinctive patterns that could aid in early detection.
