UBB_Romania_PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF BIOCULTURAL TOURISM EXPERIENCES IN RURAL LANDSCAPES WITH HIGH NATURAL VALUE

One of the objectives of the Romanian team case study was to assess respondents' opinions regarding their intention to visit rural landscapes with High Natural Value (HNV) for the purpose of experiencing a biocultural tourism experience. The questionnaire was co-created with our social partner, with whom we held two meetings (in the summer of 2023) to discuss the key questions and structure of the survey. A total of 1,007 valid questionnaires were completed, and responses were collected with the help of a specialized company. In the questionnaire, respondents were provided with definitions of key concepts such as High Natural Value (HNV) rural landscapes, biodiversity, and biocultural tourism experience.
