Introducing the Research Data Alliance (RDA): Leveraging global data communities in regional initiatives

This talk was presented in Bern, Switzerland at the Swiss Research Data Support Network (SRDSN) Fall Meeting 2024 on 7 November 2024. It was presented by Wolmar Nyberg Åkerström at National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS) / ELIXIR Sweden. Description of the talk The presentation provided an overview of what the Research Data Alliance (RDA) has to offer to individuals, organisations and (thematic / regional) professional networks working in research data support initiatives. It also descibed different ways to engage as a newcomer and what the RDA does to builds the social and technical bridges that enable open sharing and re-use of data across technologies, disciplines, and countries.
