Navigating the Maze: Exploring Teenager's Expectations from Parents in Fostering Mental Health and Influencing Character Development
Abstract-Adolescence is a vital period of human growth characterized by major transformations in physical, emotional, and cognitive aspects. During this crucial period, parents play a more significant role in influencing teenagers. The importance of parent-teen dynamics and their bearing on mental health and character development are acknowledged by this research. It recognizes the difficulties in negotiating this complex web, taking into account things like communication breakdowns, the roles parents play in helping their children develop resilience, and the fine line that must be drawn between enforcing rules and encouraging independence. This study illuminates the complex expectations teens have of their parents by looking at how parental influence affects self-esteem, identity, values, and morals. The results add to a thorough knowledge of the complex dance between parents and teenagers and guide initiatives aimed at promoting good mental health.
