Digital technologies—such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart management systems—present new opportunities for modernizing the energy sector. These technologies enable the reduction of operational costs, enhance monitoring precision, automate industrial processes, and improve transparency and safety across energy systems. Special attention is given to their application in the oil and gas industry, where the depletion of onshore resources has increased the strategic importance of offshore extraction, which demands high investment and advanced digital capabilities.
