Impact of External Debt on Economic Growth in Somalia
Abstract This study explores the intricate relationship between external debt levels and economic growth in Somalia from 1970 to 2021. Addressing a significant gap in the existing literature, this research aims to understand the impact of external debt on economic performance within the unique context of a fragile and post-conflict state. Utilizing a quantitative approach, this study analyzes time-series data on Somalia's external debt as a percentage of GDP and real GDP growth rates, sourced from the World Bank's World Development Indicators (WDI).
