Efeito da Intensidade de Vibração no Perfil de Compactação de Minério do tipo Pellet Feed
Compaction caused by vibration in gondola-type iron ore wagons hinders the drainage of rainwater, resulting in the transport of unwanted water and generating costs for the companies involved. The purpose of this study is to compare two distincttypes of vibrations: an electromagnetic sieve shaker and an experimental bench previously developed for studies on percolation and water drainage. It was found that the electromagnetic shaker provides continuous vibration, with greater oscillation and frequency compared to the experimental bench, leading to more intense compaction. The maximum compaction percentages achieved by the systems were different, indicating that the profile in a field wagon tends to fall between the more severe mechanism and the experimental bench.
