The development of cooperation and academic exchanges: suggestions for improvement of sino-ukrainian experience
The article is devoted to the study of the practice of modern Chinese and Ukrainian universities in international cooperation and academic exchanges development. The analysis of scientific literature regarding the research problem has been conducted. The purpose of the article is to suggest the ways to improve international cooperation and academic exchanges between the universities of the People's Republic of China and Ukraine. Based on the conducted research, it is concluded that the exchange and cooperation in education for international students serve as a key indicator of a country’s advanced education system and openness to the world. As a distinct group within higher education, universities should develop specific cultivation goals and educational methods tailored for these students. With the increasing educational exchanges between Ukraine and China, more Ukrainian students are showing interest in China, and interactions between teachers and students from both countries are becoming more frequent, thereby enhancing bilateral educational cooperation. To strengthen educational interactions between universities in both countries, it is essential to leverage government scholarships, increase the number of exchange students, establish a strong brand for educational cooperation, and boost the international visibility of higher education institutions. This will facilitate the better implementation of international education exchange and cooperation programs. In summary, international exchanges and cooperation among universities are crucial for advancing the internationalization of universities and serve as a key metric for their international development. As Ukraine and China continue to enhance their educational exchanges, both countries are encouraging teachers to develop international educational programmes in popular specialities such as engineering and medicine. This not only shapes the future direction of education but also helps universities achieve educational excellence. Cultivating high-level, innovative talents with international perspectives and competitiveness is a shared goal of educational cooperation between the two countries.
