Cross-Standard Health Data Harmonization using Semantics of Data Elements
Health data is increasingly growing and heterogeneous, making it complex to integrate, particularly in the context of research into rare diseases. To meet this challenge, semantic modelling offers a powerful solution by structuring data, defining its schema and linking it to semantic resources such as ontologies or controlled vocabularies. This poster presents a three-layer approach to interoperable data modelling: data formats, schema languages and semantic resources. Each layer is illustrated by concrete examples from biomedical use cases, highlighting the benefits of this approach for data search, validation and reuse.
