Effect of Unemployment on the economy's growth in Somalia
Abstract Unemployment is a critical issue faced by societies worldwide, especially in less developed countries where job opportunities are scarce. Solutions need to be found to help people find meaningful work and support themselves and their families. Despite advancements in technology and infrastructure, unemployment continues to be a persistent problem in both developed and developing nations. Unemployment refers to the situation when a person who is willing and able to work, possessing the required knowledge and skills, fails to find a job. This problem affects not only the individual but also their families and the broader community, leading to economic and social upheaval, and a reduction in the overall quality of life. According to Keynesian economics, unemployment occurs when markets and consumer demand for goods and services are inefficient (Dalmar&Yassin, 2017).
