Spatio-Temporal Change in the Decadal Growth Rates of Population in Jalgaon District (Ms)
Abstract Abstract: Marginalized communities in Uttar Pradesh, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other socio-economically disadvantaged groups, often view law enforcement with suspicion and mistrust. This research investigates the perception of Uttar Pradesh Police among these communities, analyzing factors that influence trust and cooperation. Using primary interviews, secondary data, and case studies, the study identifies challenges in police-community relations and provides recommendations to enhance mutual trust and accountability. The findings reveal a mix of historical grievances, systemic biases, and recent efforts by the police to engage marginalized groups, suggesting both progress and areas for improvement.
