Exploring Antiadhesive properties of Biosurfactants Produced by Lactobacillus spp Isolated from Fermented Ragi Porridge
Biosurfactants are eco-friendly, biodegradable compounds produced by microorganisms with various industrial and medical applications. In this study, we explore the biosurfactantproducing potential of Lactobacillus species isolated from fermented finger millet porridge. The isolates were identified as Lactobacillus based on morphological and biochemical characteristics. Biosurfactant production was screened using drop collapse, oil displacement, and emulsification index assays, which showed significant surface activity.
