Optimizing Logistics Efficiency in Truck Terminals Using Queuing Theory
The present work aimed to map the logistics processes of a small transport company that has a logistical problem in the queue of trucks that load and unload in the company's internal yard, causing delays in deliveries, increasing operational costs and causing dissatisfaction. for drivers and customers. Given this scenario, this work aimed to implement a simulation-based optimization system, using the Arena Simulator software. To this end, the case study methodology was used, through the qualitative method. It can be observed with the elaboration of this work that simulation is an important ally in the analysis and planning of topics, since, even through it, it is possible to do the correct sizing of the systems used in the basement, in the buѕ That's a good performance. In the construction of the model, the collection and treatment of data are of fundamental importance, as it is necessary to understand the way in which data is collected, so that the model fully affects reality.
