NATURAL HABITATS AND PROTECTED SPECIES OF FLORA AND FAUNA IN FOREST ECOSYSTEMS OF POLISSYA

The article investigates the biological diversity of forest ecosystems within the Korosten Forestry Enterprise (State Enterprise "Korostenskyi Lisgosp APK"), located in the Zhytomyr Polissia region. The floristic and faunal composition is identified, and natural habitats meeting the criteria of the Emerald Network (types 7140, 91D0, 9080) are characterized and their conservation status analyzed. The aim of the study is to assess the ecological condition of the area and to develop approaches to nature-oriented forest management. The results indicate high natural value of the biotopes and the need to integrate conservation measures into forestry practices.
