Entropy-Induced Collapse (EIC) Model Series: Information Field and a Fifth Force Hypothesis
This paper presents a comprehensive theoretical framework that extends the Entropy-Induced Collapse (EIC) model by introducing an information field \Phi(x,t) as a candidate for a non-equilibrium fifth force. Unlike conventional approaches where entropy is merely a state function, our model establishes that entropy gradients generate a physically distinct “information energy” capable of mediating a novel interaction. This interaction, driven by local entropy variations analogous to heat flow induced by temperature gradients, is formulated rigorously through a Lagrangian framework and field equations. Key contributions of this work include: 1. Formal derivation of a field equation where entropy gradients act as a source for \Phi(x,t), supported by a consistent energy density formulation. 2. Introduction of a higher-dimensional information projection mechanism to explain how \Phi(x,t) emerges in observable spacetime under non-equilibrium conditions. 3. Detailed comparison with existing fifth-force theories, emphasizing how our model uniquely avoids Equivalence Principle violations and remains hidden under equilibrium. 4. Experimental verification strategies, ranging from short-term (torsion balance, MEMS sensors, Casimir effect), mid-term (CMB polarization anomalies), to long-term (gravitational wave interferometry and black hole observations). 5. Reinterpretation of existing anomalies such as Atomki Beryllium-8 decay and the Muon g-2 discrepancy in light of an entropy-driven force. This framework positions entropy not as a passive thermodynamic quantity but as an active source of a fundamental interaction, potentially bridging quantum measurement, gravity, and non-equilibrium physics. While further experimental validation is ongoing, this work establishes a novel theoretical foundation that may resolve several open problems in modern physics.
