Preliminary GGM07 Mean Gravity Field Model

Since the publishing of the first-generation GRACE(-FO) Gravity Model (GGM01) in 2003, the GGM0X series mean gravity models have evolved to GGM05C, which included both GRACE and GOCE satellite-based observation, as well as DTU13 surface gravity anomalies. After its release (2016), new data, refined processing standards, and methodologies have emerged. The GRACE RL05 processing standard was improved to RL06, and a comprehensive evaluation of the GRACE data and approach has been completed as the basis for the RL07 solutions. The mission reprocessed GOCE gravity gradient (RL05 to RL06) has also been published. The newly compiled surface gravity measurements (e.g. used in XGM2019) have substantially improved the coverage of polar regions. In this presentation, we summarize our recent efforts to incorporate the latest progress in gravimetry and the resulting preliminary GGM07 series static gravity model.
