Russia in the World and the World in Russia: Reality and Expectations

The article presents an overview of the presentations at the section “Russia in the World and the World in Russia: Realities and Expectations” of the international scienfic conference “The World at the Turning Point: Geopolitics, Economics, Technogenesis” held on December 5, 2024 at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The discussion is devoted to the state of Russian society in the conditions of geopolitical turbulence, the search for strategic solutions aims to strengthen the Russian state. Speakers from different positions discussed the processes taking place in the world and Russia concerning geopolitics, search for answers to internal and external challenges The author discusses the mobilization trend in Russian history and practical policy, Russia's place in a rapidly changing world, and changes in the system of economic relations. The author presents the problem of the impact of digital neural networks on the country, as well as the issues of “viscosity and gravity” of geopolitical systems. The session also addressed the history of the Russian national economy, national traditions, patriotism of the present and future.
