PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS OF COMMUNICATION ACCOMMODATION IN INTERCULTURAL CONTEXTS

This article analyzes the problems of communicative adaptation that arise in the process of intercultural communication and their solutions. In communication in different groups, people often try to adapt their speech styles to the situation. However, this sometimes leads to misunderstandings, stereotypes and communication barriers. The article studies the strategies of convergence (approach) and divergence (distancing), as well as the influence of language and culture on communication. To overcome the problems, solutions are proposed, such as increasing cultural sensitivity, developing active listening and language learning. This study serves to form the necessary knowledge and skills for successful communication in international relations.
