Design And Development Of Backend Application For Public Complaint Systems Using Micro Services Spring Boot

In the digital era, effective public complaint management is essential for ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficient governance. Traditional monolithic complaint management systems often suffer from scalability issues, maintenance challenges, and performance bottlenecks. This paper presents the design and development of a backend application for a public complaint system using a microservices architecture in Spring Boot. The proposed system leverages microservices to modularize functionalities such as user authentication, complaint registration, tracking, resolution, and analytics. Key technologies include Spring Cloud, Eureka for service discovery, API Gateway for request routing, and Kafka for event-driven communication. The system ensures high availability, fault tolerance, and independent scalability of services, making it suitable for large-scale deployment in government and civic administration. Additionally, containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes enhances deployment flexibility. Performance evaluations demonstrate that the microservices-based approach significantly improves response time, system resilience, and ease of maintenance compared to monolithic architectures. The findings of this research contribute to the field of smart governance and digital public service transformation, providing a scalable and efficient solution for handling citizen grievances.
