Quality of Healthcare Services in Wartime: Challenges, Adaptation, and Ways to Improve

The article examines the quality of medical services during wartime, addressing challenges, adaptations, and improvement strategies within the healthcare system. War conditions, including resource shortages, infrastructure destruction, and rising medical demands, necessitate a re-evaluation of quality standards. Structural, functional, resource, and social factors impacting healthcare are analyzed, such as facility repurposing, medical mobility, and staff burnout. In Ukraine, mobile ambulances, revised evacuation routes, and international aid sustain basic service quality. Challenges persist, including disrupted logistics, unprotected infrastructure, and limited access for vulnerable groups. The study proposes expanding mobile units, digital tools, and staff support programs to enhance system resilience in crisis settings.
