India-Taiwan: Response to Geopolitical Turbulence
In an era marked by geopolitical turbulence, the India-Taiwan strategic partnership has the potential to become linchpin for enduring stability across the Indo-Pacific. This partnership confronts supply chain vulnerabilities and regional threats head-on by deftly marrying India's industrial capacity, geographical advantage and maritime reach with Taiwan's unrivalled technological primacy. Taiwan's deliberate relocation of manufacturing to India can establish a bulwark against a potential Chinese naval blockade and fundamentally alter Asia’s security architecture. At the same time, India's commanding presence at the Malacca Strait serves as a calculated deterrent to aggression. Through a carefully orchestrated strategy of diversification and robust policy frameworks, this partnership can reshape power dynamics of the Indo-Pacific. It aligns seamlessly with India's vision for a secure, multipolar order. This paper adopts a multidisciplinary approach, integrating geopolitics with economic strategy, infrastructure planning, technological collaboration, and regional development. It is a fusion that deliberately straddles feasibility and desirability, suggesting not only what can be done but also envisioning what ought to be pursued to reshape the Indo-Pacific order.
