The International Committee on Open Phytolith Science (ICOPS): A community effort to improve the collection, preservation and sharing of phytolith data

This presentation was delivered, on behalf of the ICOPS committee, at the III Workshop on Micropaleoethnobotany: RELEVANCE OF AN INTERDISCIPLINARY NETWORK OF RESEARCH IN PHYTOLITHS AND STARCHES This event brought together researchers, students and professionals from various areas to discuss the latest trends and advances in phytolith and starch studies in Latin America. The Workshop took place from March 17 to 21, 2025 at the State University of Western Paraná, Marechal Cândido Rondon Campus, State of Paraná (Brazil).
