THERAPEUTIC AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES USED IN CASE OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF PERIODONTAL TISSUES
Research on the treatment of periodontal diseases in children focuses on optimizing the therapy of chronic genesis (CG) using combined pathogenetic therapy. A set of measures has been developed, including professional hygiene, anti-inflammatory agents, the use of Holisal gel and Lacalut® active toothpaste. Also offered are agents to enhance immune function and reduce capillary permeability. In endemic areas, the use of remineralizing agents and iodine-containing toothpastes is recommended. In the treatment of children with thyroid pathology, rinses with a saline solution and biologically active supplements are used. For children with chronic thyroiditis, a single treatment regimen is proposed, including remineralizing and immunocorrective agents. The effectiveness of CG treatment in adolescents is confirmed by the use of an oral gel and special pastes and rinses. Periodontal health in conditions of iodine deficiency is restored with the help of Iodis and Calcium-D3. Immunomodulators and antioxidants improve results in patients with concomitant thyroid pathology, where the need for regular use of iodine-containing agents is also emphasized.
