Restoring the Wave A New Path for Occupational Therapy Through ΩNIMA
This document introduces a transformative framework in occupational therapy—ΩNIMA—developed by Kyung Up Moon, founder of Rehasolution. Moving beyond traditional functional approaches, ΩNIMA integrates existential wave dynamics to support clients recovering from trauma, loss, and developmental disruptions. The method models human experience through topodynamic flow, characterized by phases of collapse (Δ), recursive memory loops (∮), reintegration (Φ), and the emergence of a coherent self (Ω). This framework repositions occupational therapists not just as function restorers, but as architects of coherence, helping individuals retune their disrupted waveforms into meaningful resonance. The document includes clinical applications, case studies, theoretical underpinnings, and tools for implementation, making it suitable for therapists, educators, and researchers seeking a deeper integration of neuroscience, narrative, and embodied healing.
