Summary. The novel Sînt o babă comunistă by Dan Lungu highlights the author’s postmodernworldview. The situations and dissensions presented in an accentuated note of authenticity are toldfrom the subjective perspective of the character-narrator, the diegetic thread having as subject thetransformations in the post-Ceausescu Romanian society. The protagonist of the work experiences adeep identity crisis and finds that she is unable to adapt to the new societal changes, being dependent,ideologically, on the communist regime.Key words: transformation, regime, society, post-communism, identity crisis
