Recognition of elements for the implementation of a digital repository for the Tatuoca Magnetic Observatory

Given the need for intervention with purpose of preserving technical-scientific collections, strategies for accessibility, curatorship and use of the informational resources produced become imperative. This research seeks to identify structural aspects for implementation of digital repositories that disseminate technical-scientific productions, such as those contained in the Tatuoca Magnetic Observatory collection. The methodology used was the literature review recovering theoretical subsidies headed to digital curation, organization and availability of informational resources, integrating the areas Library Science, Archival Science and Information Science. It concludes by discussing the value of digital repositories for access and use of productions from the various scientific fields.

Abstract

Given the need for intervention with purpose of preserving technical-scientific collections, strategies for accessibility, curatorship and use of the informational resources produced become imperative. This research seeks to identify structural aspects for implementation of digital repositories that disseminate technical-scientific productions, such as those contained in the Tatuoca Magnetic Observatory collection. The methodology used was the literature review recovering theoretical subsidies headed to digital curation, organization and availability of informational resources, integrating the areas Library Science, Archival Science and Information Science.
