Barriers to E-Learning for Incarcerated Students: Challenges of Digital Access, Time Management, and Learning Environments in Correctional Facilities
This study examines the experiences of distance e-learning among incarcerated students in a Namibian prison, employing a qualitative methodology to comprehend the distinct problems and opportunities they encounter. Data were gathered via an extensive literature review and thorough interviews with twelve purposefully chosen participants. The selection criteria guaranteed that all participants were actively involved in remote e-learning, facilitating a concentrated examination of this educational approach inside the penitentiary setting. After data collection a professional transcriber meticulously transcribed the interviews verbatim, guaranteeing precision and fidelity to the participants' voices.
