Entrepreneurship Development through Microfinance: A Systematic Literature Review
Abstract: This paper offers a comprehensive analysis of the research conducted from 2000 and 2024 on the contribution of microfinance to the growth of entrepreneurship, particularly among women and young people. It looks at how microfinance organisations, which provide small loans and credit access, have assisted underserved communities in overcoming financial obstacles. The analysis also emphasises how digital technologies, such as fintech tools and mobile banking, are increasingly helping to reach underserved and rural areas with microfinance. Even with these developments, a lot of business owners still deal with issues including poor digital skills, limited market access, and inadequate business training. The assessment highlights how important it is to combine monetary services with support networks including digital literacy, skill development, and mentoring. It comes to the conclusion that although microfinance by itself is not a perfect answer, it works better when combined with inclusive practices and robust legislative backing. Building empowered and sustainable entrepreneurial communities requires this comprehensive strategy.
