ID-CARD DETECTION SYSTEM USING REAL-TIME COMPUTER VISION
This paper presents a prototype of an ID-Card Detection System designed for security-sensitive environments such as educational institutions and corporate offices. The system utilizes real-time computer vision via a web-based application to detect whether an individual is wearing an ID card. If no ID card is detected, the system automatically captures the individual's photo for further action. The prototype employs a pre-trained object detection model integrated via Inference.js for in-browser deployment, ensuring privacy and edge processing. The paper elaborates on the model's integration, architecture, and real-world applicability for enhancing institutional security.
