The Macrolepidoptera fauna from Mecsek Mts. (South-Hungary).

Based on the literature of butterfly and larger moth fauna, the author comply thechecklist of the fauna of Mecsek Mountains and present the short history of the investigations caried out in thisfield. In study, they found data proving the occurence of 949 species of Bombicioidea, Sphingoidea,Papilionoidea, Geometroidea and Noctuidea taxa. The paper summarizes all the results published earlier and italso adds new data. A brif ecological, zoogeographical and conservational evaluation is presented.
