பறநனறறல அரசரம பலமயம
Sangam literature is the repository of the life of the ancient Tamils. It divides the life of the people into internal and external stages. Theft and chastity are elements of internal life. Culture, civilization, politics, customs, warfare, etc. are symbols of external life. During the Sangam period, external literature emphasizes the ruling ability of the kings, gifts, war, valor, and victory. In addition, poets have sung the virtues of the kings. They have given moral advice to the kings and consoled them. They also contain various historical records. It is unique that not only the poets but also the kings of that time were capable of composing poetry. In this way, the songs of the kings shine in the Purananuru. This article aims to reveal the creativity of the kings through such songs.
