ORGANIZING GEOGRAPHY LESSONS ON ONLINE PLATFORMS: THE ROLE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF GIS, VR, AND AR TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION

This article analyzes experiences in successfully organizing geography lessons on online platforms. As technological advancements introduce new opportunities to the educational process, platforms like Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR and AR), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and interactive maps are being widely applied. These methods contribute to developing students’ spatial awareness, increasing their interest in lessons, and enhancing their academic achievement. The research findings show that online platforms are capable of significantly boosting students' academic performance. Furthermore, this article examines the future directions for the development of online education.
