APPROACH AND CHALLENGES IN STANDARD ARTICULATION AND TEACHING PRACTICE FOR SUS: A CASE STUDY

This article aims to analyze the approximation and challenges of a curricular component in terms of alignment with the recommendations of Resolution n. 569 of December 8, 2017, of the National Health Council on common principles for the National Curricular Guidelines of the different health courses in Brazil. This is a case study with a qualitative approach. The data came from forms and semi-structured interviews conducted online with 29 professors of health courses from a public university about a curricular component that promotes a community experience, recognizing the community’s territory and social amenities. The responses were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The study confirmed the approximation of the curricular component with the comprehensive training of students to work in the Unified Health System - SUS, as recommended by the aforementioned documents. However, in order to strengthen the experience in the SUS, efforts need to be made to ensure that training is designed in an intersectoral manner, enabling the implementation of curricular proposals aligned with the realities of the social and institutional context and the health system, valuing and encouraging the participation of teachers and preceptors in training scenarios.
