This species matches the description of ebeninus in all respects but can be easily diagnosed by the following characters: dorsum of head completely sculptured to posterior margin of head and general appearance dull; posterior margin of head without setae or with one pair; eyes smaller with fewer ommatidia in the longest row; strongly sculptured mesosoma. Material examined One site: 7. Geographic range. This species, originally described from Algeria, has been reported from the KSA and Kuwait, and is also known from North Africa (Collingwood 1985; Collingwood and Agosti 1996). Ecology and biology. Unknown.
