D4.11 Workflow and requirements to ensure interoperability for Open Science and Open Publishing Resources
Deliverable D 4.11 provides a description of the workflow and requirements to ensure interoperability for Open Science and Open Publishing Resources, focusing on the FAIRifiction process in all its aspects.During the definition and refinement of the workflow and requirements, close collaboration with the development of the Common Semantic Framework within WP4 and the design of the H2IOSC MarketPlace (WP5) has, as expected, been essential.Strong links have also emerged and been consolidated with the development of the Pilots within WP7 for the centrality of the FAIRification process. The workflow, consisting of five phases, is illustrated together with the requirements specified for each phase.Particular attention is paid to the first phase and, secondly, to the second phase in which the greatest progress has been made and the most significant developments and project results have been achieved. In general, the main results of the workflow and the associated requirements are the construction of the data model with a FAIR approach and the design and implementation of the prototype software for the FAIRification of resources, to be integrated with the H2IOSC MarketPlace. Typically, the workflow also includes functional and performance testing of the developed software prototype and its roll-out, monitoring and fine-tuning. In parallel, a system for building native FAIR resources and data is being designed and implemented, to be fully integrated with the aforementioned prototype software to ensure effective interoperability and smooth data exchange.
