KI-Einsatz in der klassisch-philologischen Forschung
The lecture is part of the ninth session of the seminar ‘AI in the ancient languages’. It focuses on the use of AI in classical-philological research. After a brief introduction to the term Digital Classics, two central stages of the research workflow are used to show where AI can be used. Firstly, it deals with the digitisation of manuscripts and their path from a document via transcript to the so-called raw text. In the following section, research questions are used to provide a brief introduction to Computational Literary Studies carried out using NLP. This leads on to a short sequence in which students can try their hand at using Jupyter notebooks.
