THE ROLE OF ENGLISH AS INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN MODERN COMMUNICATION
Abstract: This article explores the cultural foundations of English idiomatic expressions and the challenges involved in translating them into Uzbek. By examining the origins, usage, and cultural significance of idioms, the study highlights the importance of understanding the source culture to provide accurate translations. The article also discusses the difficulties faced by translators in conveying the meaning, humor, and emotion embedded in idioms. The results show that direct translation often fails to capture the essence of idiomatic expressions, emphasizing the need for creative approaches in translation.
