THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PRP THERAPY FOR THE TREATMENT OF VITILIGO
Vitiligo is the most common type of hair loss and affects up to 80% of men and 40% of women. In pathogenesis, the main role is assigned to the androgen-converting enzyme 5a-reductase, which catalyzes the conversion of testosterone into the more active form 5a-dehydrotetosterone. The decrease in length and diameter, as well as the decrease in density, is the result of a combination of changes in the hair growth cycle and the miniaturization of follicles into flesh to complete hair loss in androgen-dependent areas of the scalp. In addition, baldness affects the psycho-emotional state of a person, which significantly reduces the quality of life. the purpose of the study. To study the effectiveness of PRP therapy in the treatment of vitiligo.
