University of Bahrain 2025 Workshop: Enhancing Research Visibility and Impact through Persistent Identifiers (PIDs)

This workshop will explore the pivotal role of Persistent Identifiers (PIDs), particularly Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), in increasing the visibility and discoverability of research outputs. By delving into the impact of DOIs, research data management, FAIR principles, and open research practices, the session will empower researchers to enhance the reach of their work and track its influence in the academic community. Participants will learn how to integrate PIDs and open metadata into their research infrastructure to promote open science and support long-term sustainability, in line with UNESCO's Recommendation on Open Science.
