The study of production and purification of extracellular lipase enzyme by Bacillus subtilis isolated from the soil
The hydrolase activity of the lipase enzyme allows it to convert triglycerides to glycerol and fatty acids, and it can also catalyze the reversal reaction that forms glycerides from glycerol and fatty acids. Enzymes in this class are able to function at the interface between organic and water phases; they are also water-soluble.
