Integration of Ukraine's securities market into the global financial space

Relevance of the research topic. The integration of Ukraine’s securities market into theglobal financial space is of particular importance in the context of deepening economic interactionwith international partners, implementing European regulatory standards, and the need to attractforeign capital. In the face of military challenges, macroeconomic instability, and increasing financialdependence on external borrowing, the development of Ukraine’s securities market requires qualitativemodernization and adaptation to global trends. Despite gradual steps towards digitalization, marketliberalization, and the expansion of financial instruments, Ukraine faces issues such as low liquidity,limited investor confidence, and a lack of effective mechanisms for protecting the rights of securitiesholders. Successful integration into the global financial space requires creating favorable conditionsfor the development of the corporate segment and enhancing international cooperation. Researchon this topic will help identify key factors that will contribute to the effective attraction of investments,increasing market resilience, and its competitiveness on the international stage.The aim of the work is to define the basic principles of integrating the securities market into theglobal financial space.Research objectives. The study aims to justify the necessity of integrating Ukraine’s securitiesmarket into the global space, define the theoretical foundations of its organization and outlineapproaches to their transformation, as well as assess existing challenges and possible solutions.Research methods. During this study, general scientific and specialized methods were used,including tabular, graphical, comparison, analysis, synthesis, statistical, and scenario methods.Field of application of the results. Stock market, financial services market.Main research findings. The article substantiates the importance of integrating Ukraine’ssecurities market into the global financial space as a key factor in enhancing its liquidity, stability, andinvestment attractiveness. The current state of Ukraine’s stock market is analyzed, key developmenttrends are identified, and obstacles hindering the integration process are highlighted.The main challenges are systematized, including low investor confidence, insufficient regulatoryharmonization with international standards, and limited market depth. Strategic directions forintegration are outlined, including the implementation of digital technologies, expansion of accessto international financial platforms, activation of corporate securities issuance, and improvement ofmarket transparency.
