Dry air density and ints impact on climate change
Dry air density plays a very important role in the context of climate change, as it affects key processes in the atmosphere and climate dynamics. Although dry air does not contain water vapor, its density is influenced by temperature and the composition of other gases, such as carbon dioxide (CO2). As climate change causes temperatures to rise, dry air becomes less dense, contributing to a range of impacts on ecosystems, agriculture, and other key sectors. The feedback between decreasing dry air density and global warming intensifies the challenges associated with climate change. The objective of this study was to calculate dry air density from the Van der Waals equation of state at different temperatures and constant atmospheric pressure, considering the observed increase in surface air temperature from 1985 to the present.
