Enhancing Heat Transfer Efficiency in Microtube Using Magnetic Fields on Ferro-Nanofluids
This research explores the impact of magnetic fields on enhancing heat transfer efficiency in microtubes using ferro-nanofluids—fluids containing magnetic nanoparticles. By applying magnetic fields, the study aims to investigate changes in fluid behavior, focusing on velocity, pressure, and heat transfer properties. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations were utilized to model the interactions between ferro-nanofluids and magnetic fields, incorporating key governing equations like the Navier-Stokes and energy conservation laws. Results indicated that the application of magnetic fields improved heat transfer efficiency by increasing fluid velocity near microtube walls, which lowered wall temperatures by 5% and raised the heat transfer coefficient by 5%. This study highlights the potential of magnetic fields in optimizing thermal management for advanced microfluidic applications.
