Adapting UPSKILLS Modules to the University Curricula: CLARIN-IT Training Experience at the University of Ferrara
This presentation outlines the process of adapting and integrating CLARIN ERIC’s training materials into three language-focused university courses at the University of Ferrara. Our workflow draws on the training strategy developed in the Humanities and Heritage Italian Open Science Cloud (H2IOSC) project. It involves customising the UPSKILLS “Introduction to Language Data: Standards and Repositories” course to meet the specific needs of three English-to-Italian translation courses: English Language for Tourism, English Language for Translation and English Language and Linguistics for Humanities, Arts and Archaeology. By the end, we will present a practical example of how CLARIN services can enhance university teaching and teacher training and discuss its potential as a model for other educators interested in incorporating CLARIN into their curricula.
