MEASURES TO PROTECT FLORA DIVERSITY IN THE ECOSYSTEM OF THE MOUNTAINOUS PART OF TALISH (AZERBAIJAN)

Abstract In modern times, the protection of biodiversity has great importance in environmental protection and its effective use. Thus, the diversity of flora of the region was studied and it was established that out of 1071 species of plants found in 102 families and 437 genera, only 36 species of plants belonging to 26 families and 33 genera are listed in the Red Book of Azerbaijan and are under threat of extinction.
