Tectovalopsis J. L. Barnard and Ingram 1990

Genus Tectovalopsis J.L. Barnard and Ingram, 1990 Tectovalopsis J.L. Barnard and Ingram 1990: 52. Diagnosis (based on J.L. Barnard and Ingram 1990) Mouthparts forming a quadrate bundle. Upper lip and epistome sesparate, neither dominant in size, blunt. Mandible incisor weakly toothed or smooth, left and right lacinia mobilis shorter than broad, molar large, conical, setulose, with tiny apical trituration surface; palp attached strongly distal to molar. Maxilla 1 inner plate strongly setose medially; palp 2-articulate, large. Maxilla 2 inner plate slightly smaller than outer, with strong row of mediofacial setae. Maxilliped inner and outer plates well developed, inner not bevelled, with 3 spines grouped medially, apicolateral margin bulging; palp strongly exceeding outer plate, article 4 well developed, either ordinary or with inner acclivity and tooth. Coxa 1 strongly shortened and partly covered by coxa 2, tapering or weakly truncate. Coxa 4 posteroventral lobe strong. Gnathopod 1 elongate, strongly subchelate, ischium greatly elongate, carpus and propodus subequal, palm acute, dactylus small. Gnathopod 2 subchelate, propodus shorter than carpus, both very elongate and linear. Pereopods 5–7 elongate. Urosomite 1 carinate. Uropod 2 inner ramus without notch; outer ramus shortened. Uropod 3 peduncle ordinary; rami equal in length; inner ramus not shortened; outer ramus 2-articulate. Telson elongate, deeply cleft.
