Management of environmental safety – systematization of aggregate states of water and their derivatives

The subject of the study. Water in nature exists in the following basic aggregate states – liquid, gaseous and solid, as well as in transitional interphase states – loose, plastic, and in the form of various precipitates. All of them, under certain circumstances, have different effects on both on the environment, and on buildings and structures. Snowfalls, downpours, hail, fogs can lead to emergencies and negative consequences, which in the future directly and indirectly affect construction objects. Research methods. The work uses the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, the method of analysis and synthesis, the comparative method, and the method of summarizing data. The article presents the main aspects of the state of water at different temperature regimes. Water, when frozen, suddenly increases in volume by eleven percent, just as suddenly decreases with melting. This increase in volume plays a huge role, both in nature and in people’s lives. When the water freezes and its subsequent increase in volume, there is an expansion, resulting in strong pressure. That is why freezing water has a destructive force in closed cavities. The products of condensation and sublimation of water vapor on the earth’s surface, terrestrial objects, buildings and structures are called terrestrial hydrometeors. Ground hydrometeors are dew, hoarfrost, frost, solid and liquid plaque. There are terrestrial hydrometeors in liquid (dew) and solid (hoarfrost, ice, granular and crystalline frost) states. When the temperature decreases, the process of air saturation withmoisture accelerates, and it settles in the form of dew, and at air temperatures below 0 ° C – in the form of frost. If supercooled drops of rain, mist, or thick fog freeze, ice forms on the earth’s surface and objects. At low temperatures, a layer of solid ice can form on the cooled earth’s surface. Conclusions. When conducting experiments on accelerated climatic effects in the appropriate experimental chambers, it is necessary to take into account the basic physical states of water and its derivatives, which are terrestrial hydrometeors.

Water in nature exists in the following basic aggregate states – liquid, gaseous and solid, as well as in transitional interphase states – loose, plastic, and in the form of various precipitates. All of them, under certain circumstances, have different effects on both on the environment, and on buildings and structures.
