Emerging Trends and Technologies for Green Building Construction In India

Abstract: Green building is a technique that tries to lessen harmful effects on the environment and public health, making it more sustainable than traditional building techniques. Though, green practices and technology are being promoted at large, the concept of green construction in India has not yet developed to the point where it may have a more significant impact on society. This article looks at the future of green buildings and associated emerging technologies required for its adoption in the Indian sub-continent through literature review and analysis. According to the study, there is a significant opportunity for the widespread construction of green buildings in India, but obstacles include skillful green building professionals, lack of effective laws and incentives, and weaknesses in processing and communication. Futuristic technologies like Building information modeling, smart facades and Green materials will pave way for better sustainable construction growth in India.
